The Chabacano Perjuiciao
In this emedia mo post, we see a peculiar Chabacano word.
In Chabacano, verbs that end in -A become -AO to turn it into an adjective. But is there such a verb as perjuicia?
No, perjuicia does not exist as a Chabacano verb. In both Tagalog and Chabacano, perwisyo and perjuicio exist as nouns.
In Tagalog, the noun perwisyo can be turned into an adjective by adding the prefix na at the beginning. For example, naperwisyo ako dahil sa traffic.
In Chabacano, you cannot say "ya man perjuicio yo por causa na traffic" or even "ya man perjuicio conmigo por causa na traffic". To me, both sentences sound very unnatural.
But perhaps one day, we might see the made-up verb "perjuicia" become a part of mainstream Chabacano. Who knows.
