First Bien Chabacano Poetry Writing Contest

After participating in Dia del Libro 2026, I found myself thinking about what to do with the proceeds from the event.
Suddenly, the idea of holding a Chabacano poetry contest came to mind, with copies of El Diutay Principe as prizes!
It was then that I decided to hold the first Bien Chabacano Poem Writing Contest. I announced it in Bien Chabacano's Facebook page on May 7 and accepted submissions until May 20.

The winning entries were selected based on their emotional impact, creativity, and message. Since spelling variations exist and standardization is still ongoing, technical aspects such as spelling and orthography were not heavily emphasized. The goal of the contest was simply to encourage authentic and meaningful expression in Chabacano.
Each winner received a small collection of Bien Chabacano gifts, including a copy of El Diutay Principe, Chabacano merchandise, and a certificate. These were sent to the winners via LBC.
